Replacing a septic system is a big project, and it can feel overwhelming. Between soil tests, permits, and engineering, there are a lot of moving parts to track.

At DiMeglio Septic Inc, we step in to handle that heavy lifting for you. Our experienced team manages the whole process so you can stay focused on your home, with the assurance your new system will be built to last for the next 20 to 30 years.

Understanding the Installation Process

A successful septic installation involves a carefully timed sequence of events:

• The Soil “Perc” Test: Before anything else, we must learn how quickly your soil absorbs water. This “percolation” test by an engineer tells us your soil conditions for the type of system your property can handle.
• Engineering & Paperwork: We team up with local NJ engineers, either yours or a partner firm we use, to design a system that fits your household. We handle the permits with the health department to ensure everything is compliant with local codes.
• The Excavation & Bedding: This is a critical phase. We excavate the area and install the tank and drain field pipes. We use high-quality, prewashed stone and specific “select fill” dirt by a reputable supplier.
• The Final Inspection: Before the system is covered with topsoil, a health department official inspects the work to ensure it matches the submitted and approved engineer plans. Once the inspector gives final approval, we backfill and grade the area.

We don’t dig and disappear

We make sure your new investment gets off to a great start, so we include a few follow-ups in the price of the installation:

• The 6-Month Check-up: We come out six months after the job is done to make sure the soil has settled correctly and the system is functioning as intended.
• The 1-Year Service: At the 12-month mark, we come out for a full pump-out and filter cleaning to clear out any startup debris.
• Friendly Reminders: We add you to our database and send you maintenance reminders for future pump outs, so you never have to guess when your system is due to be pumped.
